My Passion for Healthcare

I have always been a people-person, and have loved interactions with people in all walks of life. After working in a vet clinic during my early years, I was drawn to a love of the science of medicine. Human medicine is the natural merging of these two. The most important thing that I do while taking care of people is to explain to them how we as physicians think about their different conditions. The more someone knows about what is going on, the easier it is for them to have the tools to take care of themselves: from wellness care during pregnancy and well child visits, to disease processes.

My Clinical Focus

Two of my favorite focuses are on maternity care during pregnancy, and pediatric care of all ages. I also enjoy focusing on wellness care of all ages. As a family physician, I am especially equipped to care for entire families, through the entire life spectrum. A few of my medical philosophies: 1) If there is a medical problem, think about it logically, and work towards the solution. 2) Only have people on medicines that they truly need to be on. 3) Only order tests that are necessary. 4) If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it!
