My Passion for Healthcare

I have wanted to be a doctor since I was old enough to go to school. I desired to find a cure for diseases that made children sick. I have been inspired by my relative, Mary McLeod Bethune, to pursue education to better my life and the lives of others. I believe the practice of medicine involves treating the patient and not the disease alone. To be successful, it involves the involvement of the patient and their family. I believe it is my responsibility to keep my patient and their family informed of their health and the tools available to improve and maintain it.

Services I Provide

  1. Well Child Check Ups
  2. Acute Illness
  3. Asthma Evaluations
  4. Developmental Assessments
  5. Mental Health Assessments
  6. Vaccinations

My Clinical Focus

I am passionate about lung diseases. I trained at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston for a year in Pulmonology. At that time, I trained in identifying and managing diseases that include asthma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and interstitial lung disease. I participated in research on management of pulmonary hypertension. I am most passionate about asthma. My goal with asthma management is to teach the parents and patient how to control their symptoms and avoid hospitalization and limitation from daily activities.
