My Passion for Healthcare
As a child I had severe asthma and allergies. I remember spending several Christmases in the hospital with asthma exacerbations until we finally figured out I was allergic to our Christmas tree. I was always interested in science and biology in school and knew at an early age I wanted to have a career in medicine. After my first pediatric clinical rotation I knew this is what I wanted to do. I enjoy taking care of children of all ages and love the long term relationships I am able to develop with my patients and families.
My Clinical Focus
Education is one of the most important aspects of my job. It starts as early as helping educate new parents on the best ways to keep their newborn happy and thriving. Then as children get older I help parents better understand their child's development and what to expect as they continue to grow. I also help educate families on healthy lifestyles including proper nutrition and exercise. I like to make sure that I explain everything thoroughly so parents and patients can make educated decisions regarding their health.
