Providence Hospice is a local not-for-profit hospice provider whose mission is to provide compassionate end of life care. A life-limiting illness may leave you feeling overwhelmed with limited choices. We are your partner in navigating the many choices available. We provide a special kind of care that focuses on quality of life by providing comfort, dignity and support to patients and their loved ones.
As a not-for-profit hospice provider, Providence Hospice serves all, regardless of ability to pay. Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies.
Our highly specialized team of professionals includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, home health aides and trained volunteers. Our services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Medications, medical equipment and medical supplies are provided to manage the patient’s illness. Our goal is to provide care and support while keeping patients comfortable wherever they call home, where they can be surrounded by loved ones.
Bereavement services are also available. Our team of professionals and volunteers offer bereavement and grief support for families by providing resources, education, support groups and emotional comfort in the months following the significant loss of a loved one.
Hospice care can be provided in several different settings including the patient’s home, nursing home or assisting living facility. With offices in Waco, Mexia and Whitney, Providence Hospice proudly serves the following counties: McLennan, Hill, Falls, Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Milam, Robertson, Limestone, Freestone, Leon, Navarro and Hamilton.
