Diabetes Educators

A diabetes educator is a registered nurse (RN) or registered dietitian (RD) with advanced training in diabetes who can help you with the daily management of a diabetic lifestyle. A diabetes educator can assist you with:

  • Coping with diabetes
  • Using diabetes medications
  • Working with insulin
  • Checking blood sugar
  • Coping with sick days
  • Managing high and low blood sugars

Registered Dietitians

At the Providence Diabetes Management Center, our registered dietitians have advanced training in the nutritional needs of diabetes patients. An RD helps you learn your food requirements based on your weight, lifestyle, medications and other health goals. An RD can help you:
