Education Department

Providence Healthcare Network Education Department offers a variety of educational programs to associates, as well as to the community. Training programs are designed to meet the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA) and other applicable licensing and/or regulatory agencies. The PHN Education Department is dedicated to providing healthcare professionals with the highest quality of Continuing Nursing Education programs. We are an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Skills Demonstration Requirements

For BLS, ACLS PALS classroom setting: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to class. All PHN employees are required to follow the Providence Health Center’s Dress Code Policy when attending trainings or class. Non-PHN employees must wear comfortable business casual attire. You will be practicing skills that require you to work on your hands and knees, and the course requires bending, standing, and lifting. If you have any physical condition that might prevent you from engaging in these activities, please tell an instructor. The instructor may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems.
