The Heart Hospital

Providence helped celebrate 10 years of going red by wearing red in support of the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women movement. Along with associates wearing red on February 1, Providence's halls were lined with red dresses, an informational booth was available and the fountain outside the hospital was lit with red, all in support of National Wear Red Day and American Heart Month.

CPClogoWhat separates an exceptional heart hospital from merely a good one? Outstanding facilities? Cutting edge technology? A highly experienced clinical heart team? The answer is all of the above. All of these qualities are vital to exceptional cardiac care.

At The Heart Hospital at Providence, you can count on renowned facilities, the very latest technology, and a superior team of heart professionals, But, that's just the beginning of the Providence story. Since Providence Hospital first opened its doors in 1905, Central Texans have turned to us for a level of compassion and caring they can believe in. Generations of patients have entrusted their health to Providence and that's why we founded The Heart Hospital at Providence, "a hospital within a hospital," more than 30 years ago. Proudly, in 2007, the Heart Hospital was dedicated as the F.M. and Gloria Young Tower.

Today, Central Texas refers to Providence as simply "The Heart Hospital." We're proud of this distinction and proud to say we've earned it with a history of firsts in heart health care including an award-winning, experienced team of professionals, a proven commitment to superior technology, and national recognition for excellence. This recognition includes accreditation as a Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.

The award-winning staff of cardiac professionals at The Heart Hospital at Providence is unsurpassed in heart health care. Our staff has the highest level of training and certification, dedication to continuing education on the latest technologies and procedures, and a resounding commitment to going the extra mile for our patients. This exceptional level of expertise and dedication to patients' well-being is shared by each staff member through our continuum of cardiac care. Many of our physicians, surgeons, nurses and technicians have been part of the Providence Heart Team since its inception. No wonder they take the health of Central Texans to heart.
