Meet the Doctors
Todd E. Blattman, MD
Dr. Todd Blattman grew up in San Antonio, TX. After graduating from Texas A&M University, he completed medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He completed his Family Medicine residency in Waco and then served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a staff physician at Randolph AFB. He returned to Waco in 2001 and has been practicing Family Medicine in the Waco area since that time. He is board certified in Family Medicine, and he enjoys caring for a wide variety of medical conditions and patients throughout the spectrum of life from infants to adults. He and his wife have 4 wonderful grown children and 2 beautiful granddaughters. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys making music and his church and in the community.
Scott E. Blattman, MD
Dr. Scott Blattman graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1987, Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1991. He completed his residency in Family Practice at the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation in Waco in 1994, and continued as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center and Clinical Faculty for the Family Practice Residency Program in Waco. Dr. Blattman is now a staff physician with Providence Family Health Center. He serves on the Board of Providence Health Alliance and participates on its executive committee and several of its sub-committees. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and his current professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, McLennan County Medical Society and Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honor society.
John B. Shelton, MD
Dr. John Shelton graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1993, Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree with honors from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1997 and completed his residency with the McLennan County Family Practice Center in 2000. He has received numerous honors and awards throughout his college and professional career including SAU Football Letterman Award, Presidential Academic Scholarship, Student Foundation Scholarship, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Tri Beta Biology Honor Society, Crane Academic Award of Excellence, SAU Outstanding Student Award and the Outstanding Student in Family Medicine at Texas A&M, Class of 1997. He served as a Family Physician for Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center from 2000 to 2010 and has been employed by Providence Health Center since 2010. He served as Chair of Family Medicine Department of Hillcrest Hospital from 2006 to 2008, on the board of McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation 2005 to 2007, Hillcrest Executive Committee 2006 to 2008, Hillcrest Family Health Care Center Nominating Committee 2007 to 2009, Providence Health Center Nominating Committee 2011 to 2015, Quality Improvement Committee HFHC 2004 to 2009, First Baptist Church Woodway Personnel Committee 2003 to 2007 and Chair of FBC Personal Committee 2005 to 2006. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Keith D. Horner, MD
Dr. Keith Horner graduated from Southern Illinois University Medical School in Carbondale & Springfield, Illinois in 1987. He completed his residency here in Waco at the Family Practice Center in 1990. Dr. Horner is Board Certified in Family Medicine and most recently served as Staff Physician at Hillcrest Family Health Center.
Gerard A. Marroquin, MD
Dr. Gerard Marroquin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance from Trinity University in San Antonio. He earned his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School at the University of Texas in Dallas. He completed his residency training in Family Practice from the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation in Waco. He has served in several roles throughout the years in addition to his most recent role as Staff Physician at Providence Family Health Clinic, including Private Practice with Waco Family Medicine in 1994; Supervising Physician at Hillcrest School and South Waco Elementary; Associate Regional Medical Director at Hillcrest Aesthetic and Laser Center. Dr. Marroquin is Board Certified in Family Practice Medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice. He is currently a member of the McLennan County Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
Samuel W. Ralston, MD
Dr. Samuel W. Ralston graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his medical degree in 1981 from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas. After completing internship training at UTMB in 1982, he completed residency training with the Waco Family Practice Program at the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation in 1984. Dr. Ralston has served as a private practice physician in Waco and Colorado Springs, Colorado, and most recently, as a staff physician at Hillcrest Family Health Center. His professional affiliations include: American Academy of Family Physicians. Texas Medical Association and McLennan County Medical Society.
Natalie Lippe, MD
Dr. Lippe graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 2001. She completed her residency at the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation. Dr. Lippe is currently accepting new patients on most insurance plans and has a special interest in preventative care for women and children. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Katelyn Dvorsky, PA-C
Ms. Dvorsky earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center where she was named to the Alpha Eta Honor Society. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University in 2013. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. Katelyn grew up in Waco and attended St. Louis Catholic School and Reicher Catholic High School and is a member of the St. Louis Parish.
