Levels of Care
At the Providence DePaul Center, many services are available to help children and adolescents who suffer from psychiatric problems. Based on the severity of presented symptoms, four levels of care are available
- Inpatient Hospitalization
- Day Hospitalization
- Intensive Outpatient
- Outpatient ( through the DePaul Clinic)
Latency Services
Latency services provide Inpatient and Day Hospitalization service for children ages 4-12 with psychiatric problems. These children receive individual, play, group, and activity therapies. Family members also participate in individual family therapy and the Latency Family Program.
Common issues addressed in the latency programs include anger management, dealing with feelings, peer and family interactions, social skills, cooperative play, self-esteem, and abuse/trauma issues.
Adolescent Services
Inpatient and Day Hospitalization programs are provided for individuals ages 13-17 with psychiatric problems. Participants receive group, individual, and activity therapies along with educational programming. Family members participate in individual family therapy and Adolescent Family Program.
The Family
Family participation in the treatment and recovery processes is vital. Everyone in the family has been significantly impacted by the psychiatric and/or addiction problems and needs an opportunity for healing and support. Consequently, many resources and opportunities for family participation are available.
After Care
The treatment experience is the beginning phase of recovering from addiction or psychiatric problems. For most, recovery is a life-long process. In recognizing this, the DePaul Center has numerous aftercare options available onsite. Such programs include:
- Alcoholics Anonymous
- Al-Anon
- Patient Aftercare Groups
- Family Therapy Groups
