Gayland Sims, MD, FACS

Dr. Sims is a native of Mexia and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and stayed on for his surgical residency, completing his training in 1980. Following that, he and his wife relocated to Waco to begin his career and start a family. Dr. Sims has been a member of the team of specialists at Waco Surgical Group since 1980. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and a Center of Excellence Certified Surgeon.
