Your Legacy of Love
Excitement
is building as our beautiful new long-term care facility nears
completion. Without a
doubt, when this wonderful facility known as Providence Park opens
in May, it will be the finest long-term care residence in central
Texas. The Providence
Foundation wants to help keep it that way.
Not
just now, but years from now, our seniors need assurance that
their homes at Providence
Park will continue to provide beauty, safety, comfort, and
convenience. That is why the Foundation has established the Providence
Long Term Care Endowment Fund.
Money in this fund is not directly spent. Rather, it is invested.
The earnings from this investment will be used to purchase Providence
Park furnishings, equipment, and vehicles as replacements
are needed, as well as pay for various programs directed to the
benefit of Providence Park residents.
Dave Guyer, Providence Foundation Executive Director, said,
“We hope to one day build this endowment fund up to a $1.5
million dollar level. This
amount will provide close to $100,000 every year to properly meet
the needs of this facility. What
will be great is that we won’t have to depend on hospital
operating or capital budgets for maintaining Providence Park.”
A
Long Term Care Endowment Campaign begun last fall has already
generated $247,000 in endowment contributions.
With a goal of $300,000, the campaign will continue up
until the opening of Providence
Park. Community leaders and Foundation Board members Scott Felton
and John Sheehy, Jr. are serving as campaign co-chairmen. The campaign offers a broad variety of naming opportunities
for those who participate. For
instance, depending on the level of contribution, donors may
choose the Alzheimer Unit within the St.
Catherine Center, or one of three courtyards to bear their
family or corporate name. Dining
rooms, libraries, statues, park benches and oak trees are some of
the other items available as well. Major donors will receive an
invitation to the VIP Recognition Reception at Providence Park
just prior to its opening.
A
Sidewalk of Life leading up to the main entrance of Providence
Park is also being constructed.
Bricks for this sidewalk may be purchased and engraved to
honor or memorialize a friend or loved one.
“Over $50,000 has already been raised from Providence
Network employees through the purchase of these bricks,” said
Dave. “This is an awesome start!”
