The Foundation seeks charitable support
for the various divisions of Providence Healthcare Network,
including Providence Health Center,
Providence Park,
DePaul Center,
Providence Home Care and the Providence Health
Alliance.
The Providence
Foundation is supported by four special groups. By making any
annual gift up to $1,000, donors become members of the Providence
Society. By making an annual gift of $1,000 or more, donors
become members of the Founders Society. A pledge or gift of
$50,000 or more, qualifies donors for life membership into
the Founders Society. Donors indicating that they intend to make a
planned gift to the Providence Foundation, qualify for membership
into the Vincentian Society. Finally, the Providence
Forum is a young adult group (ages 21 - 40) that supports
Foundation fundraising activities and other Providence
events.
Endowment giving is
an excellent way to support Providence. In addition to the Providence
Foundation General Endowment Fund, the Long Term Care
Endowment Fund has recently been established. When you invest
in either of these special funds, you add to the healthcare legacy
begun by nearly 100 years ago while establishing your own legacy
of love.
The Providence
Foundation conducts two special fundraising events each year. The
Providence casino party held in February at the Fine Arts Building
on the Heart of Texas Fairground, in Waco. Nearly 400 guests
attend and are treated to valet parking, creative decor, great
food, open bar, excellent entertainment, a whole assortment of
casino games, super door prizes and auction items and some
wonderful take home souvenirs. The other special event is the
Providence Classic golf tournament, held at Cottonwood Creek Golf
Course
in October of each year. One of Waco's largest and oldest
tournaments, the Providence Classic offers morning and afternoon
tee times, golf carts, great food (breakfast, lunch and afternoon
appetizers), beverage/snack carts, great take home souvenirs,
quality golf shirts, door prizes, $10,000 hole-in-one and putting
contests, several other contests with great prizes including golf
clubs, free trips, etc. Proceeds from both events are used to
advance Providence's mission of serving the sick-poor.
Sponsorships and individual tickets can be purchased by contacting
the Providence Foundation.
Donations
Whether paid-in-full or pledged to be paid over
several years, donations are always welcome. You may choose to designate
your gift to benefit a particular clinical area, program or
division of Providence Healthcare Network. Or, you may prefer to
leave your gift unrestricted and allow the Foundation's Board of
Directors the flexibility to determine how and where to use your
gift, based upon the greatest and most pressing needs.
Providence
Foundation has made it easy for you to donate on-line, if you so
wish. We have contracted with
Conscious Change: The Secure Donations Network to assist you
in making a secure on-line donation to Providence Foundation. For
