Cleoda Bables Named to Providence Board of Trustees

On September 17, 2003, Ascension Health and the Providence Healthcare Network announced the appointment of Cleoda Bables to the local Board of Trustees here in Waco. Mr. Bables is a long-time member of the Providence Advisory Board and has served our community in many unselfish ways through the years.

Prior to graduating from Paul Quinn College with a Bachelor of Science, and from Prairie View A & M University with a Masters Degree, Mr. Bables served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Since that time, he has taught and coached at Rosebud Lott and La Vega schools, and at Waco ISD—where he also served as Assistant Principal for four years. In 1972, Mr. Bables was named the Outstanding Secondary Teacher in the United States!

Cleoda and his wife, Audrey, have two daughters and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, jazz music, and volunteer service. We welcome Mr. Cleoda Bables as our newest member of the Board of Trustees.
