Very few practice opportunities offer more to physicians
and their families in terms of quality of life and quality
of practice. Providence Health Center is located
in Waco in McLennan County including more than 205,000
citizens. The area is rich in cultural, educational and
recreational amenities. These include museums, symphonies,
scenic golf courses, boating, fishing and sporting events.
All of these attractions add up to further enhance the
natural beauty of Waco and make it a family-focused city.
The economy is strong, the housing is attractive and
affordable, and the school systems (including private) are
excellent. Baylor University, the only private school in
the culture-rich Big 12 Conference, is located in Waco and
boasts a student population of 12,000. Also located in
Waco is Texas State Technical College (TSTC), an excellent
community and vocational college.
Providence Health Center, a state-of-the-art, 170-bed
health facility, was built in 1989 in a rapidly growing
area of Waco. Providence added a new floor to house the
Women's & Children's Center in September 1996. The Center
includes nine LDRP suites, a Level II / Well Baby Nursery,
a Pediatric unit and a Women's unit, dedicated to the
special health needs of women.
Providence also provides a wide range of diagnostic,
therapeutic, surgical and rehabilitative services
including Waco's leading open heart surgery program.
Providence Health Center
has an active staff of 300 physicians, practicing all
specialties. These practice
opportunities offer excellent call coverage, benefits and
a very attractive financial package. We offer the option
of either salaried or independent practice.
If
living and practicing in this type of setting appeals to
you and your family, we want to hear from you.
